I started working since 1982 and for the past 26 years, I have worked with at least 12 "bosses" ranking from directors to senior managers to managers or immediate supervisors. I have to say that I learned a lot from working with them on communication. When they want things done, they will handle over the papers or information to me to complete the tasks on hand. If they need help with other matters, they called me and ask to assist. This is what I could called a working relationship.
But the current one or soon to be ex-one as I will be leaving to move on to another place, does not know what is a working relationship. I do not know how to read a human mind. I don't have the six sense to know that he wants to give me papers (which was not with him originally) for my task and it seem that he was waiting for me to get them from him and then got scolded for not approaching him for the papers. I do not know that he wants me to help another colleague in her task when he does not want my involvement in it in the first place. How can he go around telling others that I did not offer to help. This is ridiculous!!
